CGMS monthly business meeting.

CGMS Member meeting & potluck, door prizes, good food, good friendly conversations. A program of one sort or another, and as always bring in a personal treasure to share of get identified.

Choose: 1. 11 AM Salmon Berry Tour of Independence Mine buildings. Contact Salmon Berry to make reservations, at 907-278-3572 Mention CGMS tour. 2. Bar-B-Q at noon 3. Drive over pass to Willow.

Hike out to explore the Kincaid Dunes in southwest Anchorage.

Rockhounding for river rocks. Campfire & Lunch. Location TBD after scouting trip by leaders.

Paul will display specimens from his inventory for purchase.

Hunt for spirit stone concretions, north of Captain Cook SRA. ATV's, (helmets advised, not mandatory), or serious 4WD veh. with high clearance required.

Fly to Wrangell, stay in town. Water taxi to historic Garnet Ledge for 1/2 day. Trip includes tour of the Stikine River and bear viewing at Anan Sanctuary. Trip limited to 6 persons. (currently full / wait-list available)

Annual Fur Rondy rock show with rock and mineral displays and vender booths.
