Exploring and Rockhounding north central New Mexico.

Kent is leading a this trip based out of his house in Abiquiu, NM. The trip will highlight many of the rockhounding sites he has discovered while traveling the areas around north central New Mexico. Collectables include obsidian, agate, petrified wood, fossils, mica plates, fluorite and more.

Lodging available at the Abiquiu Inn and numerous bed and breakfasts in the area. Camping at Kent’s property is available.

Suggested travel, from Alaska, is to fly Anchorage to Albuquerque,rent high clearance vehicle and drive to Abiquiu, approximately 2hr drive. Actual logistics to be decided by the group.
